#My Deer Friend Nokotan Invades DEEEER Simulator With Collaboration DLC

The year is 2025, and the Summer 2024 anime My Deer Friend Nokotan’s promotional attempts show no sign of stopping. The silly deer anime is now collaborating with the absurd DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game video game via a free DLC that’s coming to Steam first.

The SHIKANOKO DANCE DLC will allow players to do the Shikanoko Dance that was unleashed before the anime’s premiere, complete with the show’s opening theme “Shikairo Days,” by using the in-game dance command. Instead of being a permanent offering, the DLC will only be available from January 7 at 10 AM PST to February 4 at 9:59 AM PST.

Due to copyright reasons, China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia won’t be getting the DLC. Furthermore, the “in-game dance will no longer be available once the distribution period has passed.”

My Deer Friend Nokotan is an adaptation of the Kodansha-published manga by Oshioshio. Masahiko Ota directed the anime, which was produced by WIT STUDIO with cooperation from Studio Massket. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the manga as:

No one knows Torako used to be a delinquent. All of her classmates only know her as the perfect student. But everything changes when Nokotan, a transfer student with antlers, enters her life. Antlers aren’t the only thing strange about Nokotan. Her deer nose can sniff out Torako’s secret past! Whether it’s at school or the zoo, chaos follows this doe-eyed girl’s every step. Torako has so many questions! Is Nokotan a deer, a girl, or something in-between?

Meanwhile, DEEEER Simulator is a ”slow-life town destruction game” developed by Gibier Games where players control a deer. It was originally released on Steam in Early Access in 2020 and is also available on Epic Games, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
