#Jasmine Hartin bailed out after being ‘abused’ by billionaire’s family

Jasmine Hartin — the socialite charged with killing a top cop in Belize — has been bailed out of jail by a lawyer outraged at how she’s been “thrown to the wolves” by her common-law family headed by a British billionaire.

Hartin, 32, was taken back to jail last week after filming herself angrily confronting Andrew Ashcroft, the 43-year-old son of billionaire Lord Michael Ashcroft, accusing him of blocking her from seeing their two kids.

Lawyer Wendy Auxillou told The Times of London that he stepped forward to post bail to get her out after seeing Hartin “being psychologically and emotionally abused” by the Ashcrofts.

“In the beginning, people viewed her as some type of rich entitled kid,” Auxillou said of the initial coverage of Hartin’s arrest for the manslaughter of police Superintendent Henry Jemmott, who Hartin allegedly confessed to accidentally shooting while he taught her how to fire a gun.

But she was now being viewed with “sympathy” on Belize after being “thrown to the wolves” by the Ashcrofts, Auxillou said.

“Many of us women are victim to this. Rich, powerful men do things like this all the time,” she said.

Auxillou posted bail by supplying the title to property she owns as collateral, she told the UK Times. The report did not say exactly how much it was, but Hartin’s initial bail had been $15,000.

Hartin’s mother, Candice Laura Castiglione, also said her daughter’s latest woes were due to “persecution from the Ashcroft family.”

“Where is their dignity? Where is their class??” she asked in a Facebook post Tuesday.

“Money doesn’t make you an honorable person, actions do!!! Do the right thing by my daughter!!!”
