#Mushoku Tensei Previews Extra Episode in New Video

Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation has released a video preview for its extra unaired episode, which will be bundled with the anime’s fourth Blu-ray box. The fourth Blu-ray box will be released on March 16.

The special episode’s premise is related to Eris’s off-screen activities in the show’s 16th episode, which saw Rudeus reuniting with his father Paul.

Mushoku Tensei‘s second cour aired during the Fall 2021 anime season, while the first cour ran during the Winter 2020 season. The anime is based on the Kadokawa-published light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote with illustrations from Shirotaka. The light novels are published under the MF Books label. The story began in 2012 as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou.

Funimation describes the anime as:

The story follows a 34-year-old man who is killed after trying to save someone from getting hit by a car. He soon finds himself reincarnated in a magical world as Rudeus Greyrat, except that he gets his whole life reset, starting as a baby.

With all of his knowledge from his previous life, and a new heaping helping of magical ability, Rudeus quickly becomes a formidable warrior ready for adventure. Oh, and he’s still a total pervert.

The anime’s main staff includes Manabu Okamoto (Gamers! director) as director and series composer, Hiroki Hirano (Sword Art Online: Alicization storyboarder) as assistant director, and Kazutaka Sugiyama (Her Blue Sky co-animation director) as character designer. The second cour saw animation director Mizuki Takahashi (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan co-character designer) joining Sugiyama as character designer. Studio Bind is the animation production company.
