#Hanako-kun & Haruaki Abe Team Up in New Collab Visual for Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun & A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!

A new collaboration visual has been released for the ongoing A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! TV anime and Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2, highlighting lead characters Haruaki Abe and Hanako with their respective series mascots. 

A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! first aired in Japan on October 8, 2024 and is running for two cours of 24 episodes. The anime’s second cour began broadcasting with the 13th episode on January 7, 2025. 

Katsumi Ono (Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle, Symphogear) is directing the anime series, with Deko Akao (Sasaki and Peeps, Tales of Wedding Rings) as screenwriter, Natsuki as character designer, and Takahiro Inafuku as music composer. Satelight is handling the animation production. 

The anime is based on Mai Tanaka’s comedy horror manga series of the same name, which first launched in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine on November 18, 2014. Seventeen tankobon volumes have been released as of September 2024, with an 18th volume due out on January 27, 2025. Yen Press releases the manga series in English for release in North America. 

Crunchyroll is currently streaming A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! and describes the main synopsis as: 

Haruaki Abe is happy to finally fulfill his dream of becoming a teacher. That happiness is short-lived after he arrives at Hyakki Academy and finds out the school is full of monsters! Can Haruaki overcome his cowardice and get his supernatural students under control? Join the timid teacher and his bizarre class for a tale of ghoulish mischief and paranormal education.

The second season of Toilet Bound Hanako-kun premiered in Japan on January 11, 2025 and is expected to air 12 episodes. The first season aired in 2020 and also ran for 12 episodes.

Season two is directed by Yohei Fukui (Bakugan: Evolutions assistant director, Toilet Bound Hanako-kun Episode 10 director), with Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Toilet Bound Hanako-kun) as series screenwriter and Mayuka Ito (Toilet Bound Hanako-kun) as character designer. Lerche is in charge of the animation production. 

The anime is based on the manga by creative duo AidaIro (consisting of writer Iro and illustrator Aida) that was first serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine on June 18, 2014. Twenty-three tankobon volumes have been released as of December 2024. Yen Press releases the manga in English.
