A wild mountain lion cub may have treated himself to a caged Australian buffet courtesy of the San Francisco Zoo.

The mauled marsupials — two wallaroos and a red kangaroo — were found dead at the zoo last week, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, and fingers are pointing at a young puma found wandering the city.

The cub was caught on tape by Fernando Robles who posted a video of the large cat on Twitter noting, “At around 12:30 am I spotted a mountain lion roaming the streets of Russian Hill. I followed from inside my car and lost visual contact near [the] intersection of Greenwich and Jones. Be safe when walking alone at night or when walking your pets. I reported the sighting to SFPD.”

The cub was captured by animal control on Thursday at Fourth and Channel streets near Oracle Park and is currently being held at the rival Oakland Zoo before its expected release back into the wild.

Experts suspect that the puma originated in San Mateo County, which has wildlands around the Crystal Springs Reservoir and Sweeney Ridge, which are known to be home to mountain lions, according to the Chronicle.

“It’s not common, but there have been numerous instances over the years where we’ve had pumas go into enclosures with animals and kill tons of them, and maybe eat one,” Zara McDonald, a biologist with the Bay Area Puma Project, told the paper.
