#Model sues Canadian company Tristan over missed photo shoot

A model says she couldn’t get through customs for a fashion shoot with a Canadian clothing brand because the company screwed up her visa — and now they won’t pay her, new court papers allege.

Calee Lutes says Tristan — a Canadian company — hired her for a “multi-day fashion shoot” and that it would take care of providing her with a visa to get into the country for the job, a new Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit says.

The shoot was scheduled to start July 18, 2019, Lutes’ lawyer said.

But, when the 26-year-old Georgia model arrived at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport the day before she couldn’t get through customs because Tristan provided her with the wrong type of visa, the court papers filed Tuesday allege.

After, the company allegedly “refused” to pay her cancellation fee, “for a job cancelled by its own error.” And it wouldn’t reimburse her for travel costs — like her contract dictated they would, the court papers claim.

Further, Lutes claims she lost out on money from an American job and a potential ongoing business relationship “with a large advertiser” that she turned down in order to work with Tristan, the court filings say.

“Because of Tristan’s own error, Ms. Lutes lost out on not one but two jobs, and a potential continuing working relationship with one of them, and to add insult to injury, she is stuck paying the travel expenses for this maddening voyage,” the court documents charge.

Lutes — who filed the suit in Manhattan because her agency Next is based there — is seeking $50,000 in damages.

Lutes’ lawyer, Tom Mullaney, told The Post, “They preach to the world about how ‘woke’ they are, but when asked to own up to a mistake, Tristan is asleep at the switch.”

In a statement given to The Post, Tristan said “we have no comments about this situation.”
