A series of viral videos show a large, angry mob outside the home of an American man in Israel after a video surfaced of him abusing his dog.

In a disturbing video published by journalist Dennis Charkov, the man, identified by the Jerusalem Post as Alan Ross Morrison, is seen dragging his dog in a muzzle. The dog’s legs are tied together. At one point, he holds apart the dog’s limbs and punches it in the stomach, while the dog cries out in pain.

According to the Post, Morrison recorded the video in retaliation against his ex-girlfriend. The video went viral on Tuesday, prompting his address to be posted on Facebook. Nearly 200 people congregated outside of his home in Bat Yam, Israel, where they can be seen yelling and throwing things toward the house.

In a follow-up video, seemingly recorded by Charkov, a group of men bangs on Morrison’s door and threatens him as he cowers on the floor.

In another video, a man is seen fighting law enforcement officers at the entrance to Morrison’s door. The man is seemingly trying to get access to Morrison, who is holed up inside his home, while law enforcers try to get the man to leave.

According to the Post, Morrison was “smuggled” away by police and eventually arrested. Morrison has reportedly been detained for five days and is scheduled to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

The dog was rescued and is reportedly doing well.
