Odell Beckham Jr. shot down speculation that he wants to leave the Cleveland Browns and join his friend Cam Newton in New England.

While a free agent earlier this month, Newton posted a short video to YouTube working out alongside Beckham. After Newton signed an incentive-laden one-year deal worth up to $7.5 million with the Patriots on Sunday, many wondered if Beckham would try to team up with the former league MVP.

Comedian Bob Menery reposted one of the OBJ-Newton workout videos and wrote, “@obj to New England? Hmmmm. Welcome to New England Cam! #doyourjob.”

Beckham responded, “Lol no sir boss! But y’all got my brother, wishin nothing but the best and LUV.”

Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood also chimed in, tweeting, ‘@obj to the Patriots before the season is done. BANK IT!”

However, Beckham stood his ground and replied, “U can find me in The LAND homie! We got unfinished business.”

The 27-year-old Beckham has been the subject of trade rumors since Cleveland went 6-10 last season despite lofty expectations. It also was a down year for Beckham, who had just four receiving touchdowns, his lowest total since he missed most of 2017 due to a high-ankle sprain.

In April, there was buzz the Browns could ship Beckham to the Vikings, though Cleveland called the rumor “completely false.”

Beckham in December told reporters, “I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be here. We’re going to figure this thing out. It’s just too special to leave.”

He has four years left on a five-year, $90 million ($40 million guaranteed) contract he signed with the Giants, who traded the three-time Pro Bowler to the Browns  in exchange for Jabrill Peppers, Kevin Zeitler and the Browns’ first-and-third-round draft picks in March 2019.

The Patriots don’t have many talented wide-receiver options for Newton, who was released by the Panthers this offseason after being plagued by injuries the last two seasons.
