#Missing Connecticut mom Jennifer Dulos was ‘violently assaulted,’ lead cop says

The lead investigator into the disappearance of Connecticut mom Jennifer Dulos says he is “confident” that her body will eventually be found and that “blood spatter” in her garage convinced him she was violently assaulted.

“My personal beliefs is that, based on the blood spatter, a serious violent assault occurred in that garage,” Connecticut State Police Sgt. Kenneth Ventresca says in a preview for an episode of “Dateline NBC” set to air Monday at 10 p.m. ET, the network’s Connecticut affiliate reported.

The episode, titled “The Day Jennifer Disappeared,” will feature Ventresca and Connecticut Chief State’s Attorney Richard Colangelo Jr.  — and promises to reveal new information from Connecticut State Police.

“Most telling, honestly, was the zip ties that were cut and had Jennifer’s blood on them … our theory is that they were used to incapacitate Jennifer in the garage,” Colangelo says in the interview with NBC News’ Dennis Murphy, seen in the preview.

“You know, I have theories. I have ideas. There’s a lot of property up there that Mr. Dulos owns.”

It will also be Ventresca’s first network interview discussing new clues in Dulos’ case, NBC reports.

Dulos, of New Canaan, was last seen on Friday, May 24, 2019, after dropping her kids off at school.

Her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, was charged with her murder but told NBC last August, while he was out on bond, that he had nothing to do with her disappearance.

Fotis pleaded not guilty but died earlier this year days after attempting suicide at his Farmington home. He was due for a court appearance and was found when he failed to show up.

Fotis’ ex-gal pal, Michelle Troconis, was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence, hindering prosecution and conspiracy to commit murder. She has pleaded not guilty.

Jennifer Dulos was 50 years old at the time of her disappearance. The five children she shared with Fotis have been living with Jennifer’s mother since their mom’s disappearance.
