Mike Golic’s new gig will keep him with ESPN. After his last day co-hosting “Golic and Wingo” on July 31, Golic will serve as a college football analyst for the network, according to colleague Adam Schefter.

Golic’s contract with ESPN was set to expire this year, but the move will allow the former NFL lineman to return to a similar role he held in his first 10 years at the network.

The Post previously reported that ESPN canceled “Golic and Wingo” as part of a reinvented national radio lineup. Trey Wingo took over as co-host on the show in 2017 after Golic’s longtime partner Mike Greenberg made his move to TV. The new lineup brings Greenberg back into the radio fold for his own afternoon show.

Golic offered to rejoin Greenberg as a co-host in order to save the show, but was turned down by ESPN, according to Golic’s wife, Christine.

“We know what’s going on, obviously, with the announcement. Our last show is gonna be July 31,” Golic said on his show after the news became public. “It certainly was not my choice. I would’ve loved to have kept doing the show, but listen, I didn’t want to be cut by the Houston Oilers. I didn’t want to be cut by the Miami Dolphins. Sometimes what you want and what happens isn’t the same.”
