Metro Boomin is gearing up for the release of his Heroes & Villains album later this week, but before the project arrives, the super producer unleashed a cinematic short film to accompany the LP.

The fiery six-minute clip hit YouTube on Tuesday (November 29) and is directed by Gibson Hazard, who also helmed Lil Uzi Vert’s raucous “Just Wanna Rock” video.

Young Metro invited some Hollywood stars into the mix as the iconic Morgan Freeman lent his godly vocals to the mini-blockbuster while Atlanta‘s LaKeith Stanfield played the role of a villain.

“For years, Metro Boomin has protected the city from the unrelenting threat of evil,” Freeman narrates. “With the light of the Boomanati headquarters, once a beacon of hope, has gone dark. In Metro’s absence, villains rise from the shadows.”

Young Thug and Gunna also make an appearance in the animated film as teammate broadcasters giving viewers a look into the hubbub overtaking the city. Metro made sure to rep for his incarcerated friends with “Free YSL” flags shown throughout.

Music from the album soundtracks the visual as 21 Savage and Future can be heard on different ornate songs, while the final credit scene utilizes Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy “So Appalled” sample alongside vocals from Chris Brown.

“Heroism isn’t about earning accolades or even defeating villains, it’s choosing to risk everything for the people, expecting nothing in return — we all know the city loves its legends, but tonight they need a hero,” Freeman adds. “Which one do you want to be? “You know what they say if Young Metro don’t trust you, motherfucker you better run.”

Metro then reaches for a chain to transform into a superhero and revs up the Metromobile to save the city, which angers LaKeith Stanfield.

In addition to the aforementioned guests, the star-studded affair will feature an appearance by Travis Scott. Heroes & Villains releases on December 2 and serves as the follow-up to Metro’s 2018 Not All Heroes Wear Capes.
