Michael Cohen will be free to write his upcoming tell-all book about President Trump — but only from the comfort of his own home, according to stipulations for his home-confinement agreement that were finalized Thursday.

The conditions of his home confinement, which were agreed up by the Bureau of Prisons and Cohen, say the former Trump fixer can only leave his apartment for work or unless he is “given specific permission to do otherwise.”

Cohen will be free to speak to the media and write his much-hyped, tell-all book about Trump, according to the terms.

“There shall be no specific media provision governing Petitioner’s home confinement,” a court order outlining his home confinement states.

The terms end a saga for Cohen that started when he was photographed by The Post dining out near his Upper East Side apartment in early July while released from prison on furlough because of the coronavirus pandemic.

He was brought back into custody by BOP the next week, when he refused to sign a home confinement agreement that would’ve blocked him from writing his tell-all book and from speaking to the media.

Hellerstein suggested last week that The Post article contributed to retaliatory measures imposed on Cohen.

“All of a sudden, when the New York Post article comes out and the Bureau of Prisons finds out Cohen is writing a book … he’s imposed with conditions,” Hellerstein said in the July 23 hearing.

Cohen sued Attorney General William Barr and the Bureau of Prisons, claiming his First Amendment Rights had been violated by his arrest and the terms of his home confinement agreement.

A Manhattan federal court judge agreed with Cohen and called the stipulations of his home confinement “retaliatory” because he was planning to write a book about Trump.

“It’s retaliatory because of his desire to exercise his First Amendment rights to publish a book and discuss the book … on social media,” Hellerstein said.

Cohen was sprung from Otisville prison the next day and has been cooped up in his apartment since.
