The Mets’ bolstered their farm system Wednesday with the 19th overall selection of lefty hitting outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong in the 2020 MLB Draft.

The 18-year-old is regarded as an excellent defender, but he also has shown potential at the plate during his time at Harvard-Westlake high school in Los Angeles.

The slot value for this pick is $3.36 million.

Armed with one of the weakest prospect pools in baseball, the Mets could have gone many different ways with their first-round pick in this pitcher-heavy draft.

Both of Crow-Armstrong’s parent are actors, and his mother, Ashley, played Bill Heywood’s mom Jenny in “Little Big League.”

“I love that movie, regardless of my mom being in it,” Crow-Armstrong once told reporters, according to MLB.com. “It’s a great movie.”

Crow-Armstrong’s father, Matthew, has appeared in various TV shows, including “House,” “The Young and the Restless” and “American Horror Story.”
