Even after a decade, the Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day anime is still a much-beloved series, filling hearts with emotions and eyes with tears. To celebrate the series today, THE FIRST TAKE YouTube channel brought the opening theme song band Galileo Galilei to the studio to sing “Aoi Shiori” alongside Menma’s voice actor Ai Kayano and transported us back to 2011.

THE FIRST TAKE is a Sony Music Entertainment Japan initiative that has singers perform their hit songs in just one take in a minimally-styled studio which has the performer sing in, as the video description says “ONE TAKE ONLY, ONE LIFE ONLY.”
