On Monday (October 18), the self-proclaimed Hot Girl Meg shared a series of photos with her 25.8 million Instagram followers celebrating the one-year anniversary of her relationship with producer Pardison Fontaine, or “Pardi” for short.
She wrote in the caption, “1 year of fun with you.” Photos include Megan holding a glass with her bare cheeks as Pardi takes a sip, Megan on her knees with her arms around his thighs, mirror selfies, Pardi grabbing her rear, the couple snorkeling with Megan’s backside sticking out the water as Pardi is about to take a bite and the duo jumping on a trampoline.
The post has collected over four million likes and thousands of comments congratulating the happy couple. In fact, “Pardi” is currently a trending Twitter topic.
Megan Thee Stallion and Pardi Fontaine were at the center of controversy in earlier this year when fans accused Pardi of being abusive. On February 15 — which just happened to be her 26th birthday — Pardi Fontaine sounded like he got aggressive with her in an Instagram Live clip that making the social media rounds at the time.
In the video, a man held the camera as Pardi pounded on Megan’s bathroom door and said, “Yo! What the fuck y’all doing? Nah … no, bullshit. Now no bullshit. Don’t make me come through the door. No bullshit. I don’t give a fuck what y’all talking about. Tell Megan to come to the door. You have five seconds before I come through this shit. Open the door!”
He then barged into the room and several women started yelling at him as he shouted, “Everybody out!”
Despite the optics, Megan Thee Stallion quickly came to his defense and assured her fans there was nothing to worry about.
“People don’t know what the hell they talking about,” Megan said in an Instagram Live video four days after the incident. “They just be saying anything. I didn’t like what they was trying to say about Pardi ’cause he is so calm and so sweet. And very, you know … That’s my boo. And I really like him … He is so perfect and he would never do anything to hurt me, just so y’all know.”
