Meek Mill has pleaded with Fabolous to make another Soul Tape after podcast host Lowkey tweeted that fans should give up on ever hearing another installment.

Fabolous’ debut Soul Tape arrived in 2011, followed by two sequels in 2012 and 2015 respectively. The trilogy remains some of Fabolous’ most celebrated work, and Lowkey tweeted out a reminder to fans that they’re unlikely to get another installment.

“Fab ain’t making another Soul Tape. Let’s just give up on that,” Low wrote, to which Meek replied, “Fabbbbbbbbbbbbbb.”

Check out Meek’s response below:

The comment comes after Maino shared a clip of Fabolous shooting a music video earlier this week, and while it’s unclear if the new track is related to another Soul Tape, Fab hasn’t dropped a full-length project since Summertime Shootout 3: Coldest Summer Ever in 2019, which featured Meek Mill, Lil Durk, Gucci Mane, Roddy Ricch and others.

Fab did, however, put out two new songs last August when he was challenged by Hot 97’s Funk Flex to drop new music. He then followed it up with a series of loosies including the Hitmaka-produced “Rich Hustle” with Jim Jones, his “Ups & Downs” vacation freestyle using Jack Harlow and Drake’s “Churchill Downs” beat, and in September, he joined forces with Dave East for his “Back To Bach” freestyle, which samples Loose Ends’ classic 1985 record “You Can’t Stop the Rain.”

The lack of new music hasn’t stopped Fab’s rap contemporaries from showering him in praise. In January, Drake took a moment to celebrate Fab’s influence on his artistry and posted a series of shout-outs to his Instagram Story.

“Wouldn’t be anywhere without this guy real shit @myfabolouslife,” Drake wrote next to a photo of a young Fabolous donning a New Jersey Nets jersey, baggy white T-shirt, durag and backwards fitted cap.

He added: “Was really just taking in how much you influenced everything for me.”

Fabolous will also soon join Ja Rule, Ashanti and a slew of others for the I Love R&B Festival this spring, which will hit Long Beach, California on May 27. Other performers on the bill include Chingy, Mya, Pleasure P, Bobby V, Marques Houston and many more to be announced.
