#Masamune-kun’s Revenge R Premieres on July 3, Releases Key Visual
The Masamune-kun’s Revenge R anime has received a July 3 premiere date and a key visual featuring the titular Masamune Makabe, Aki Adagaki, Koiwai Yoshino, Neko Fujinomiya, Tae Futaba, Kojuro Shuri, and Muriel Besson.
Masamune-kun’s Revenge R is the second season of 2017’s Masamune-kun’s Revenge. It was originally meant to premiere in April.
The anime is based on the manga written by Hazuki Takeoka and drawn by Tiv, which ran from 2012 to 2018 in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Rex. Eleven tankoubon volumes were published under the Rex Comics label, with the final volume serving as an afterstory.
Seven Seas describes the manga as:
As an overweight child, Makabe Masamune was mercilessly teased and bullied by one particular girl, Adagaki Aki. Determined to one day exact his revenge upon her, Makabe begins a rigorous regimen of self-improvement and personal transformation.
Years later, Masamune reemerges as a new man. Handsome, popular, with perfect grades and good at sports, Masamune-kun transfers to Aki’s school, and is unrecognizable to her. Now, Masamune-kun is ready to confront the girl who bullied him so many years ago and humiliate her at last. But will revenge be as sweet as he thought?

Meanwhile, the returning cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Masamune, Ayaka Ohashi as Aki, Inori Minase as Yoshino Koiwai, Suzumi Mimori as Neko, Azuki Tadakoro as Tae, and Saori Hayami as Kojuro.. Miku Itou is voicing Muriel.
