Nippon Columbia has announced that voice actress Marika Kohno‘s second solo single “New story” is set to be released on July 14, 2021. She is a member of the three-member voice actress unit Earphones, and made her solo debut with her first single “Yume mitai, demo Yume jyanai” (Looks like a dream, but it’s not a dream) in February 2021.

“New strory” will be featured as the OP theme for the forthcoming TV anime adaptation of Yuri Kitayama’s isekai fantasy light novel series Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles to premiere in July 2021. This is her first anime theme song work as a solo singer.

She says, “As this is my first opening theme song, I put a lot of energy into singing it, while learning about the series. It is a song that brings a refreshing breeze to the profound story. I’d like to make the anime exciting along with this song, so please look forward to it!”
