In a live-streamed Overlord IV Special on March 12, 2022, it was revealed that the previously announced Isekai Quartet the Movie: Another World would be released sometime this early summer. A new key visual was unveiled to promote the upcoming film. 

Many of the cast and staff members from Isekai Quartet‘s first two seasons are returning. Minoru Ashina (Kaijuu Girls) will be writing the script and directing the anime. Minoru Takehara (Isekai Quartet seasons 1-2) will be in charge of both character design and chief animation direction. Studio PuYUKAI is once again handling animation production. 

News of a movie was first teased in the 12th episode of Isekai Quartet 2, where it was revealed in April 2020 that a sequel was in development. 

Isekai Quartet is a crossover series featuring many works and characters in Kadokawa’s light novel catalog. Among them include Konosuba, The Saga of Tanya the Evil, Re:Zero, and Overlord. The series also features cameos from The Rising of the Shield Hero and Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious. 

The first season began broadcast on April 9 to June 25, 2019. The second season aired on January 14, 2020 to March 31, 2021. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons as they aired in North America.
