#Manga Artist Masakazu Katsura Gets Anniversary Exhibition in Shibuya

Manga author Masakazu Katsura (I”s, Video Girl Ai) is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his career in comics with an art exhibition and pop-up store entitled “Boy meets Girl Girl Girl!”, which will run from December 24, 2021 – January 11, 2022 at the Shibuya Parco Gallery X venue in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.

 

A promotional visual for the "Boy Meets Girl Girl Girl!" art exhibition and pop-up shop celebrating the 40th anniversary of the career of manga author Masakazu Katsura. The image depicts Iori Yoshizuki, the heroine of I''s, dressed in warm winter clothing while going on a romantic date in Shibuya during a brisk winter evening.

 

The installation will include illustrations featuring artwork from some of the most famous scenes of Katsura’s work as well as a photo spot themed around Video Girl Ai. Original goods (such as T-shirts, hoodies, and posters) will also be available for purchase. Tickets to the “Boy meets Girl Girl Girl!” exhibition cost 500 yen (about $4.42 US).
