#Man wounded, woman clings to life following Brooklyn shooting

A woman was clinging to life after she and another man were shot by a gunman in East New York, Brooklyn, Tuesday night, police said.

The woman, 33, was shot in the chest while the man, 30, was hit in his right arm after they had gotten into a dispute with the shooter outside the Pink Houses on Linden Boulevard just before 9:30 p.m., police said.

Both victims were transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, with the woman critically wounded and the man in stable condition.

The shooter fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The shootings are the latest in a recent uptick the city has seen over the last few weeks.
