#Man randomly slashes back of NYC woman’s head

Startling video released by the NYPD Monday shows the moment a man randomly slashed a woman in the head — leaving her with a deep gash — as she walked down a Brooklyn street, cops said.

The 24-year-old woman was at the corner of Fulton Street and Franklin Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 4:20 a.m. Dec. 22 when the man approached her and cut her head with an unknown object, cops said.

“He slashed her in the back of the head,” NYPD spokeswoman Detective Denise Moroney said. “Prior to her getting assaulted, there was not a verbal exchange.”

The man ran north on Franklin Avenue, cops said. EMS took the woman to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. She needed six stitches, cops said.

The man, who can be seen in the video, was described as between 48 and 50 years old, 5 feet 10 and about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black coat, a blue sweatshirt and blue sweatpants.
