His roommate got lucky, but he sure didn’t.

An Australian man seeking refuge in his car from his roommate’s noisy bedroom escapades ended up getting fined for violating local coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

The unidentified man, one of 202 people cited for COVID-19 violations within just 24 hours in the state of Victoria, was nabbed sitting in his car about three miles from his Melbourne home around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, The Age newspaper reported.

He told cops his roommate’s partner was over at their house and the two were being “too loud” while getting busy in the bedroom — and he needed to get away for some peace and quiet.

But police still slapped the man with a violation and a hefty $1,652 fine in Australian dollars — the US equivalent of nearly $1,200.

He wasn’t the only Victoria resident hit with a citation for violating the state’s strict coronavirus stay-at-home restrictions.

Another man was cited for leaving his home — to practice his DJ skills, The Age said. Three other locals were busted when they posted a video of themselves buying takeout food, and a couple was cited for going out after curfew to get a drink.

Melbourne has an 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew, but residents are not allowed to leave their homes at any time unless they are shopping for essentials, going to work or exercising, the outlet said.

The crackdown comes after officials in Victoria declared a “state of disaster” earlier this month amid a spike in coronavirus cases.

Australia has reported nearly 22,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, with more than 15,000 of those in the greater Melbourne area, according to Johns Hopkins University. The pandemic has killed 246 people in the city and surrounding areas.
