A man was critically injured in a Staten Island shooting Tuesday evening — the fourth person shot in the borough over the last 24 hours, police said.

The gunfire erupted just after 5 p.m. near 216 Jersey Avenue in New Brighton, according to cops.

The man, whose name or age was not immediately known, managed to make it about 200 feet where police found him moments later with gunshot wounds, according to the NYPD.

EMS rushed the man to a nearby hospital where he is fighting for his life, cops said.

No additional details were immediately known.

The shooting follows two fatal acts of gunplay over the last 24 hours in Staten Island.

Just after 8:45 a.m. Tuesday morning, a 29-year-old man, whose name was not released pending notification of family, was fatally shot in the chest and arm on the corner of Grandview Avenue and Arlington Place in Mariners Harbor, cops said.

A half-mile away, a 21-year-old man, identified by cops as Prince Edmonds, was shot dead Monday afternoon outside 3016 Richmond Terrace, according to police.

Cops said another 22-year-old was also struck by gunfire just after 1 p.m. but he was expected to survive after being treated at Richmond University Medical Center Hospital for a gunshot wound to the left arm.
