#Man dressed as a machete-wielding gorilla arrested for terrorizing

Police were called in the early hours of Friday morning after gunshots were heard at an apartment complex and there were reports of a man dressed as a gorilla wielding a machete — who was also threatening to blow up the building.

“Fargo Officers were sent to the 2700 block of 8 St N in Fargo for gunshots heard. Officers were also told there was a man dressed like a gorilla carrying a machete,” according to a statement on the Fargo Police Department’s Facebook page. “Officers arrived in the area and spoke with witnesses. They learned the gunshots were large fireworks. They also learned the suspect had threatened people inside the building and said he was going to blow up the building.”

Residents were evacuated and, after several hours, Jorden Pickus, 26, finally surrendered.

“Pickus was taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation, and eventually was arrested and taken to the Cass County Jail on the charge of Terrorizing,” the Fargo PD noted.
