#Man charged with shattering NYPD patrol car window

The rear windshield of an NYPD patrol car was smashed in Manhattan as officers responded to a call of a man with a knife, the city’s largest police union said Sunday.

“This is the situation on our streets: while two @NYPD34Pct cops were responding to a report of a man with a knife last night, a somebody did this to their car,” the PBA tweeted Sunday, with a photo of the police car with its back window blown out.

“Thanks to bystanders who witnessed the vandalism and pointed cops towards the perp, he was arrested a short time later.”

Cops initially went to 213 Nagle Avenue in Inwood around 4 p.m. Saturday for a call of a man with a knife, according to police sources. The call turned out to be unfounded, but the stop wasn’t uneventful.

A witness told cops that he saw a man pummel the car’s back window and pointed out the perpetrator, who was apprehended nearby, police sources said.

Alexis Bueno, 30, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief for the vandalism, a police spokeswoman said.
