Magical Destroyers

If you feel like getting creative with your anime, JUN INAGAWA and the folks behind the Magical Destroyers TV anime are here to make it that much easier. The official website recently shared over 100 clips from the first eight episodes of the series with the express purpose of giving fans material to make MADs, which stands for Music Anime Douga and typically involves fan-made multimedia works not far separated from the spirit of AMVs (Anime Music Videos).

The clips are all available to download right now, and cuts from future episodes will be added as they’re available. There are a few rules to adhere to, including clip length (no longer than five minutes) and the request to include the #magical_mad hashtag in the video title or description. Visit the link here for clips and further guidelines and terms of use in both English and Japanese.

There’s plenty of great material in Magical Destroyers for MADs, so have at it!

The Magical Destroyers original TV anime was created by designer JUN INAGAWA with Hiroshi Ikehata (FLCL Progressive) directing the series at Bibury Animation Studios. The series is streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes it as such:

Freedom of expression is threatened when a mysterious group, the SSC, destroy Japan’s otaku culture. However, a young revolutionary, Otaku Hero—who loves the culture more than anything—rises up. With the help of three rambunctious magical girls—Anarchy, Blue, and Pink—they’ll team up to create a world free of this oppressive rule. Be part of the rebellion to bring back fandom!
