As we quickly approach the premiere of the NieR:Automata Ver1.1a TV anime on January 7, the series held a stream tonight revealing a brand new kick-ass trailer for the reimagining of Yoko Taro’s platinum game. The trailer not only reveals the opening and ending theme songs for the series but also previews both tunes.

Performing the opening theme song “escalate” is Japanese pop star Aimer while rock band amazarashi performs the ending theme song “Antinomy”.

The NieR:Automata Ver1.1a TV anime is directed by Ryouji Masuyama and features animation production by A-1 Pictures. The series will premiere on January 7 with Crunchyroll set to stream the anime soon after.
