The Love Live! Superstar!! school idol series is set to continue with a third season. The announcement was first made during a livestream that served to commemorate the second season’s conclusion.

Auditions for a new character that will appear in Season 3 will begin on November 1.

Love Live! Superstar!!‘s first season premiered in July 2021, while the second season premiered on July 17 this year. The show is one of several anime spawned from the Love Live! multimedia franchise that began in 2013. The first season follows five freshmen in the Yuigaoka all-girls high school who form the Liella idol group, with the second season adding four new main characters.

The cast includes Sayuri Date as Kanon Shibuya, Liyuu as Tang Keke, Nako Misaki as Chisato Arashi, Naomi Payton as Sumire Heanna, Nagisa Aoyama as Ren Hazuki, Nozomi Suzuhara as Kinako Sakurakoji, Akane Yabushima as Mei Yoneme, Wakana Ookuma as Shiki Wakana, and Aya Emori as Natsumi Onitsuka. 

Meanwhile, the staff for both seasons includes Takahiro Kyougoku as director, Jukki Hanada as series composer, Yuuhei Murota as original character designer, Atsushi Saitou as character designer, Reiji Kasuga as art director, Rie Katou as color designer, Yuuki Iinuma as CG director, Tadashi Kitaoka as photography director, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa as music composer. Sunrise is credited as the animation production company.
