At her online birthday event streamed on May 2, voice actress Aguri Onishi announced that her double A-side second single “Elder flower/Hatsukoi Colors” is set to be released on August 4, 2021. The former will be featured as the ED theme for the summer 2021 TV anime Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles, and it will be her first anime theme song work as a solo singer.

After working as a child actress, she became one of the finalists of the 13th All Japan Bishoujo Contest in 2012 and formed an idol group X21 along with the other finalists in the following year. The group finished its activities in five years, then Onishi made her voice actress debut in 2017. Her well-known anime characters include Ayumu Uehara in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club (2020) and Fubuki Kitakaze in Maesetsu! Opening Act (2020).

While performing as a member of the 10-member VA unit for Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, she released her solo debut single “Honjitsu wa Seitenari” (It’s Fine Today) from Nippon Columbia on March 3, 2021. The single’s highest position in Oricon’s weekly single charts was eighth.
