More than six months of waiting have led us to learn that the upcoming Love Live! Sunshine!! fantasy spin-off TV anime Genjutsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- will be unleashed onto this world in July 2023. Alongside the announcement saw a new teaser trailer and visual being released.

The original Aqours members return for Genjutsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- with Asami Nakatani (Ensemble Stars!) at the helm as director, Toshiya Ono (86 EIGHTY-SIX) writing the scripts as the series composer, Yumiko Yamamoto (Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld) as the character designer and Tatsuya Kato returning to Love Live! Sunshine!! as the music composer. Sunrise is credited for anime production.

Genjutsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- was originally an illustration series in the Love Live! Days Love Live! Sogo magazine which also inspired a short manga in the same magazine in February this year. Genjutsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- is scheduled to broadcast in July 2023.
