Could Lisa Vanderpump‘s days in West Hollywood be numbered?

As we’ve been reporting this week, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is back in the news for all the wrong reasons. As it first came out on Tuesday, Lisa and her husband Ken Todd‘s restaurants Pump and TomTom reportedly had their liquor licenses suspended by California officials earlier this month.

TomTom had its license reinstated quickly after just a few days in limbo. But Pump fared a bit worse, with a continued suspension that lasted well into this past week. Things got so bad that the restaurant reportedly had to shut down for a few days — even though a sign on the outside of the WeHo biz claimed unusually inclement weather was to blame.

Well, we are now learning a little more about what’s being going on. According to a report published by ET on Wednesday, the building in which Lisa and Ken run Pump is being flipped. The outlet notes the couple does not own the restaurant’s storefront location — they merely rent the space from a landlord — and that owner is “currently looking for a new tenant.”

Uh-oh!!

ET quoted a broker named Leslie Haro from City Street Commercial about the real estate move:

“The business is being sold, but not the real estate and they’re looking for a long-term tenant.”

Well, that’d be a big change! It happens in the restaurant business, of course. Few industries are tougher than that one. And a source did also tell the outlet in the same report that Pump “had a hard time with the COVID pandemic” recently.

Still, Pump has been a mainstay in WeHo. So it seems like this is all coming to an end very abruptly!

But wait! Not so fast, y’all. When ET asked Lisa herself for comment on the apparent real estate problem, the 62-year-old Bravo-lebrity denied any issues at all!! She released a strong statement to the mag about how Pump management is “currently discussing” whether to go in on another lease for the future:

“We’ve been in the Pump location for ten years, have a great relationship with the landlord, and are currently discussing re-signing our lease over the next few months, but haven’t made a decision and will be open tonight, and come by and have a Pumptini.”

And she bragged about her other venues, too. Those establishments include TomTom, Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, and Vanderpump à Paris — the latter two of which are doing well at Caesars Palace out in Las Vegas:

“We’re also currently expanding our empire and will be opening two more restaurants with Caesars Palace.”

So that would seem to be that for the restaurant rumors.

Of course, it’s interesting to note that Lisa technically did just say her team is “currently discussing” going in on another Pump lease but “haven’t made a decision” yet. Does that possibly leave her a little wiggle room in case this apparent landlord loophole changes or something?! Just wondering…

Anyways, even that‘s not all on this story!

In addition to sharing a statement with ET on Wednesday afternoon, Lisa also hopped on Twitter to dispel two reports. The first was a repeat of her media missive about Pump being open for business:

“Ok no … #PumpRestaurant will be open as normal… #fake-news”

Got it!

And the second was a bit more intriguing. Y’all remember how Teddi Mellencamp accused Lisa of allegedly paying Raquel Leviss to get Tom Sandoval to cheat on Ariana Madix supposedly all in the name of Vanderpump Rules ratings, right?? That was a wacky claim! But juicy AF!!!

Well, Lisa straight-up denied that! In her Wednesday afternoon tweet, she added:

“Oh and no I didn’t pay cast members to sleep together for ratings #pumprules they do that on their own… #fake-news Have a beautiful day everybody.”

Well, it seems they really do do that on their own. Can’t argue with that. LOLz!

So clearly, there is quite a bit of conflicting info flying around on these VPR-related stories. AKA, it’s just another day for us here in the thick of the gossip thicket. Ha!!
