Lara Trump described her father-in-law, President Trump, as a “person of convictions” who will fight tirelessly for the nation in remarks Wednesday at the 2020 Republican National Convention.

“No one on Earth works harder for the American people,” she said.

A campaign adviser to the president, Lara, 37, made a personal pitch to voters, painting a glowing portrait of the family she joined in 2014, when she married Eric Trump.

When she first met the Trumps, Lara said, “any preconceived notion I had of this family disappeared immediately.”

“They were warm and caring, they were hard workers, and they were down to earth.”

Now the president’s daughter-in-law, Lara played up her Southern roots in her address, detailing how she moved at 24 from her native Wrightsville Beach, NC., to New York City with dreams of making it big.

“I know the promise of America because I have lived it,” Lara said, “not just as a member of the Trump family, but as a woman who knows what it’s like to work in blue-collar jobs, to serve customers for tips and to aspire to rise.”

“I wasn’t born a Trump. I’m from the South,” she said. “I was raised a Carolina girl. I went to public schools and worked my way through a state university.”

She eventually worked in TV, as a producer, most notably for CBS’s “Inside Edition.”

Lara also portrayed Trump as a champion of women who chose her to help win her home state of North Carolina in the 2016 election, despite her lack of credentials.

“Though I had no political experience, he believed in me. He knew I was capable even if I didn’t,” she said.

“Gender didn’t matter, what mattered was the ability to get the job done.”

The mother of two framed the November election as one “that will decide if we keep America America,” with the other choice being heading down “an uncharted, frightening path towards socialism.”

Trump “will uphold our values” and “preserve our families,” she said. “He will build on the great American edict that our union will never be perfect until opportunity is equal for all — including, and especially, for women.”

“He’s willing to fight for his beliefs, and for the people — and the country — that he loves.”
