Lindsay Lohan is pregnant!

The 36-year-old star announced that she’s expecting in a surprising new Instagram post on Tuesday morning.

The news popped up with a start early in the day. Nobody was really expecting it to come up, but just moments after the Parent Trap alum took to IG, it was suddenly all over the place! As it should be!!

As you can see (below), Lohan and husband Bader Shammas are “blessed and excited” that the baby is now on its way:

Amazing!!

It was not immediately clear how far along she is. However, in a follow-up statement to TMZ, the Mean Girls superstar added this sweet sentiment:

“We are very excited for our new family member to arrive and we are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives!”

Awww. Love that!

Just about a month ago, as the news outlet notes, the longtime star was photographed wearing loose-fitting clothes. Skeptical, eagle-eyed fans pondered whether that meant she was possibly pregnant. For weeks, there was no confirmation or other reporting. The speculation died down, and everybody kind of forget about those rumors. But now, here we are! And straight from LiLo herself comes the amazing confirmation!!!

Of course, she and Shammas first tied the knot not even a full year ago. The duo announced their marriage back in early July of last summer — on Lohan’s birthday, to be exact. That followed a relationship that began for the pair right before the pandemic hit, and then a November 2021 engagement. So, clearly, Lindsay and Bader have been progressing through the waypoints of marriage and family life for some time. And now the baby bump is upon us all! So great!

Over on Twitter, fans dropped all kinds of congratulatory messages for the former child star:

“she’s come a long way and she’s finally happy and healthy.”

“mean girls but this time it’s their daughters”

“so happy for her, she deserves the world”

“Can’t wait to meet your little one”

“I love you and your baby so much already”

“She’s come so far and truly deserves this”

“if she happens to have twins, The Parent Trap part 2 could be in the works”

That last one! LOLz! Wouldn’t that be something…
