#Foodman Announces New Album Yasuragi Land, Shares New Song: Listen

Foodman—the moniker of Japanese producer Takahide Higuchi—has announced a new album titled Yasuragi Land, which roughly translates to “tranquility land.” The 15-track LP is out July 9 via Hyperdub. Today (April 14), Foodman has shared his new single “Hoshikuzu Tenboudai,” along with a visualizer. Check it out below and scroll down for Yasuragi Land’s tracklist and album art.

For Yasuragi Land, Foodman drew inspiration from eating at Michinoeki, Japanese motorway service stations, as well as visiting the local Sento (Japanese public baths). “When I go to these places, I’m able to enjoy the atmosphere,” Foodman said in a press release. “I wanted to create an honest album that combines the sound of guitar and percussion with the sense of peace and  community I feel in here amidst the uncertainty of the future. Yasuragi Land is that place of ‘tranquillity.’”
