The anime adaptation of Gods’ Games We Play (Kami wa Game ni Ueteiru) will be produced by LIDENFILMS with Tatsuya Shiraishi (Tribe Nine episode director) as the director. The news was revealed during Kadokawa’s July 24 MF Bunko J Summer School Festival 2022 livestream.

The Gods’ Games We Play light novels are written by Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World‘s Kei Sazane and illustrated by Toiro Kinoruru. The series began in 2021 and will release its fifth volume on August 25. 

The premise involves “The Game of Gods,” which was created by gods that had too much free time on their hands. It is a difficult game that no human has managed to conquer, due to the gods’ fickleness, irrationality, and occasionally hard-to-understand nature. However, when former goddess Leoreche wakes up from her long slumber, Fay, a boy who is considered to be the game’s best rookie in recent years, finds himself joining Leoreche to battle against the gods in the ultimate intellectual game.
