As has now been announced, several works by Makoto Shinkai will be released again on disc with LEONINE Anime!

As can be seen from the entries of the online mail order company Amazon, LEONINE Anime has secured the licenses for two further films by the director Makoto Shinkai. It refers to «5 Centimeters Per Second» and «Children Who Chase Lost Voices – Die Reise nach Agartha». Both films should be on 21. May 2021 appear on DVD and Blu-ray. A pre-order is currently not possible.

Furthermore, the FSK lists a release from the OVA «Voices Of A Distant Star» on behalf of the publisher. No further details about the release are available yet.

The two films as well as the OVA already appeared a few years ago at KAZÉ Anime on disc. Opposite Anime2You the publisher confirmed that the well-known dubbed version under KAZÉ will be used to republish the movies.

All works mentioned are from the pen of Makoto Shinkai, which recently gained greater fame with “Your Name” and “Weathering With You”. These were also created in the studio CoMix Wave Films.

During an attack by the Tarsians, Mikako tries to convey a message to her friend, knowing that it will take her years …
