#Brett Ratner’s RatPac buys WallStreetBets founder’s story

The man behind the message board that sparked a stock market revolution has sold his life story to director Brett Ratner’s film production company, a new report says.

Jaime Rogozinski, the founder of Reddit’s WallStreetBets forum, made the deal earlier this week with Ratner’s RatPac Entertainment, whose roster of hits includes “Wonder Woman” and “Dunkirk,” The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

RatPac paid an amount in “the low six figures” for exclusive access to Rogozinski and plans to turn his story into a movie, podcasts and other projects, according to the paper.

Ratner — who lost a $450 million deal with Warner Bros. after multiple women accused him of sexual harassment and assault in 2017 — reportedly took interest in the WallStreetBets saga after several hedge-fund pals told him how important it was.

“This story is such a human story of power and uprising, capitalism and socialism, and so much more,” Ratner, who has vehemently denied the allegations against him, told the Journal.

Rogozinski started WallStreetBets in 2012 and watched as the fast-growing message board squeezed hedge funds by pumping up GameStop’s stock price last week. He reportedly compared the online revolt to a “train wreck” and a horror movie.

Rogozinski, 39, recently told the Journal that he was booted from the foul-mouthed forum in April after trying to clamp down on hate speech among its users.

He reportedly hopes the Ratner-produced film will take viewers through the story of how his message board grew from a small community of amateur investors into a market-moving powerhouse with 8.5 million users.

“I’m laying it all out on the table,” Rogozinski told the Journal. “There are going to be some things that are extremely shocking, things that people don’t know about me.”

Ratner’s film isn’t the only one about the WallStreetBets saga that’s currently in the works. MGM has reportedly acquired the rights to a forthcoming book about the group by author Ben Mezrich, whose tome about Facebook was turned into the Oscar-winning film “The Social Network.”

RatPac Entertainment did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday morning.
