“The Kingdoms of Ruin Anime Reveals October Premiere Date, New Cast Member”
The Kingdoms of Ruin anime adaptation, which was announced early this month, will begin airing sometime in October.
It was also announced that Ryouko Shiraishi is playing the role of the Ice Witch Chloe, the mentor of protagonist Adonis. Chloe’s character design was revealed as well.
Humanity long lived in harmony with witches, but an advanced scientific revolution has made the powers of a witch unnecessary. Succumbing to resentment and fear, the greatest nation in the world begins a brutal witch hunt and eliminates all witches from the land. After being forced to watch his beloved teacher die, Adonis, a witch’s apprentice, swears revenge on the empire that took everything away from him. It’s a bloody battle between science and magic in this thrilling new fantasy manga!
Keitarou Motonaga (She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man) is directing the anime with Takamitsu Kouno (She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man) as series composer, Hiromi Katou (ID-0 animation character designer) as character designer, and Miki Sakurai (The Demon Girl Next Door), Shuu Kanematsu (Dynamic Chord), and Hanae Nakamura (The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie co-composer) as music composers. Yokohama Animation Lab is the animation production company.
Playing the lead roles are Kaito Ishikawa as Adonis and Azumi Waki as Doroka.
