“Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible Gets 1st Trailer, 2023 Release Date”

The Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible anime adaptation has received a 29-second trailer, providing a brief preview of the titular Kubo and her interactions with protagonist Shiraishi. A 2023 release date was also revealed.

Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Nene Yukimori, which began in 2019 and has nine tankoubon volumes as of May 2022. It is serialized in Weekly Young Jump and published under the Young Jump Comics label.

Viz Media describes the manga as:

When Kubo sits next to Shiraishi in their first year of high school, Shiraishi’s nonexistent social skills get a boost. Speaking up in class is only the beginning for Shiraishi—soon Kubo forces him to be noticed at school, at the bookstore, and all around town. Shiraishi’s once-lackluster life isn’t so dull anymore!

Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend) is directing the adaptation with Yuya Takahashi (Selection Project) as series composer and scriptwriter and Yoshiko Satou (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation co-sub character designer) as character designer. PINE JAM is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the main cast includes Kana Hanazawa as Nagisa Kubo and Kengo Kawanishi as Junta Shiraishi.
