#George Kittle’s wife Claire celebrates 49ers star’s contract extension

Claire Kittle has 75 million reasons to celebrate her “king.”

On Saturday, the wife of San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle posted a sweet snap to Instagram, congratulating the 26-year-old on his five-year, $75 million contract extension.

“Let’s freaking ride @gkittle46,” Claire captioned the photo of the couple embracing on the field. “The People’s TE is in the Bay to stay #85.”

Kittle, a two-time Pro Bowler, later replied, “My queen!!!”

Kittle’s new contract makes him the league’s highest-paid tight end, receiving $30 million guaranteed at signing, and $40 million guaranteed for injury, per ESPN.

The Kittle family has had something of a memorable year, beginning in February when the 49ers faced the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 54 in Miami. Kansas City defeated San Francisco, 31-20.

Claire, who married the 49ers star in 2019, reflected on the loss in a lengthy Instagram post.

“@gkittle46 I am so undeserving of your grace and your ability to see the good in all things. We have experienced worse things this year than the loss of a single football game and our perspectives have changed because of it,” Claire wrote in February.

“Above all, I am thankful for a fully healthy husband who is more fired up and determined than ever before. He is thankful but he is angry and that is powerful. You heard it, but I’ll say it as well. He will be back wearing the Super Bowl logo again,” she continued.

Kittle finished the 2019 season with 1053 yards and five touchdowns.
