#Kohl’s finally dropped its 2020 Black Friday ad — and it was worth the wait

Kohl’s surprises us every year with some of the top Black Friday discounts on tech, but your mom’s favorite department store came through with some *especially* good deals for 2020. 

Unveiled Nov. 6 — about a week later than usual, according to BlackFriday.com — the retailer’s 2020 Black Friday preview ad reveals its plans for massive discounts on headphones, smart home devices, Fitbits, Instant Pots, vacuums, Fire tablets, and more for the week of Black Friday, along with the return of its signature Black Friday Kohl’s Cash offer of $15 for every $50 spent. Select deals include more Kohl’s Cash on top of that, and you can clip a 15% off coupon from the ad to save even further. 

Among the sale’s many highlights: You can score a highly sought-after Nintendo Switch, a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and a 3-month Nintendo Switch Online membership for just $299 altogether, or the list price of the console itself (a $68 savings) — that’s major.

That Switch bundle and dozens of other deals will go live online at midnight EST and in-stores at 8 a.m. local time on Sunday, Nov. 22, when Kohl’s Black Friday Week Sale officially kicks off. It’s scheduled to run through Black Friday proper on Nov. 27, with two days of “Super Deals” starting Thursday, Nov. 26 at 1:01 a.m. EST on the Kohl’s website and in stores at 5 a.m. local time on the 27th. (All Kohl’s stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, FYI, so feel free to lean into that food coma.)

Kohl’s is one of the very last retailers to announce its Black Friday plans — Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Macy’s, and Dell’s all arrived ahead of schedule in mid- to late-October. But don’t let that put you off: We’ve seen Kohl’s beat other retailers’ holiday pricing by sweetening deals with that Kohl’s Cash offer, so it’s well worth working into this year’s Black Friday shopping strategy. (Just remember to spend your Kohl’s Cash before it expires.)
