#Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Film Trilogy Reveals 2nd New Teaser Trailer & Visual

Earlier today during the Thunder Stage at CCXP 2024, Crunchyroll revealed a new teaser trailer and visual for the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle anime films. The first film in a planned trilogy will be coming exclusively to theaters globally in 2025. An English-subtitled and raw Japanese language trailer were both released.

The films will be distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment worldwide, including Japan (except selected Asian markets). No theatrical release dates have been announced.

Aniplex also announced that previous director Haruo Sotozaki and character designer and chief animation director Akira Matsushima are returning to work on the film trilogy at ufotable

Japanese voice cast members Takahiro Sakurai (Giyu Tomioka) and Kengo Kawanishi (Muichiro Tokito), along with Brazilian voice actor Daniel Figueira (Tanjiro Kamado) were also in attended to give CCXP attendees a sneak peek of the new films. 

The anime series’ most recent Hashira Training Arc first aired on May 12, 2024 and concluded with the eighth episode on June 30, 2024. The Infinity Castle film trilogy was announced shortly after the end of the last season. 

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes: 

  • • Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado
  • • Akari Kito as Nezuko Kamado
  • • Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu Agatsuma
  • • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Inosuke Hashibira

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on the original manga series by Koyoharu Gotoge, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 15, 2016 to May 18, 2020. A total of 23 tankobon volumes were released.

Other anime entries in the franchise include the 2019 first season, the 2020 movie Demon Slayer – Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, the 2021 TV broadcast version of Mugen Train, and December 2021 to February 2022’s Entertainment District Arc. Crunchyroll is currently streaming all previous seasons and films of the franchise.

VIZ Media releases the manga series in English for North America, describing the main synopsis as:

Learning to destroy demons won’t be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what’s going on, might provide some answers — but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first!
