As reported, the official YouTube channel for anisong singer LiSA posted a full music video for “Akeboshi,”the OP theme for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc, at 00:00 on November 8, 2021 (JST). Perhaps no longer surprisingly, the clip quickly reached one million views in just one day!
As of this writing, the video, directed by Masakazu Fukatsu (“Homura” and “Yuke”), has already been viewed more than 1.4 million times. LiSA wrote on Twitter yesterday, “One Million! The power of everyone is amazing! Thank you!! It’s about a week away from the release.”
“Akeboshi” will be included in her double A-side 20th single “Akeboshi / Shirogane” to be released on November 17, 2021. “Shirogane” has been used as the anime’s ED theme.
