“Ticket Sales Open For The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie Screenings in English-Speaking Territories”

Crunchyroll has announced that tickets are now on sale for the romantic comedy The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie in English-speaking countries and territories. Tickets for the film can now be purchased in North America, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. 

The film will be available in both English dub and subtitled languages. Theatrical release dates for the English-speaking territories include:

  • • December 1 in Australia and New Zealand
  • • December 2 in the U.S. and Canada 
  • • December 7 & 8 in the U.K. and Ireland

Additional screenings of The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie will also be added in some European countries in 2023. Germany will premiere the film on March 28, 2023 while Poland, Romania, Czech Republic and Hungary will see a premiere date sometime in early 2023. 

The main voice cast includes Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Uesugi Futaro, Kana Hanazawa as Ichika Nakano, Ayana Taketatsu as Nino Nakano, Miku Itou as Miku Nakano, Ayane Sakura as Yotsuba Nakano, and Inori Minase as Itsuki Nakano.

The film’s production staff includes Masato Jinbo (Restaurant to Another World 2) as director, Keiichirou Oochi (The Quintessential Quintuplets 2 series screenwriter) as scriptwriter, and Masato Katsumata (The Quintessential Quintuplets 2) as character designer. Bibury Animation Studios is handling the animation production for the film, after working on the second season. The animation studio took over from Tezuka Productions, who worked on the first season.  

The first two seasons of The Quintessential Quintuplets are currently streaming on Crunchyroll. The first season consisted of 12 total episodes and was released in 2019. A second 12-episode season was released in 2021.  

The Quintessential Quintuplets is based on the manga by Negi Haruba, which was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from August 9, 2017 to February 19, 2020. 14 tankoubon volumes have been released in total and the series was published under the Kodansha Comics label. Kodansha USA releases the manga series in English. 

Crunchyroll describes the film as: 

When five lovely young girls who hate studying hire part-time tutor Futaro, he guides not only their education but also their hearts. Time spent has brought them all closer, with feelings growing within the girls and Futaro. As they finish their third year of high school and their last school festival approaches, they set their sights on what’s next. Is there a future with one of them and Futaro?
