Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have won the Emmy award for Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or Special for their score for HBO’s Watchmen. The two Nine Inch Nails members’ work on the music from the first episode, “It’s Summer And We’re Running Out of Ice,” picked up the win over Hollywood, Little Fires Everywhere, Mrs. America, and Unorthodox. It marks Reznor and Ross’ first Emmy win.
Reznor and Ross were up for two awards in total tonight: Outstanding Music Composition and Outstanding Original Music & Lyrics, the latter for the Watchmen song “The Way It Used to Be.”
