Peter Fabiano, Producer: Hey guys! Thanks for tuning in. We’re the producers on Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection.

Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, Chief Producer: “My name is Yoshiaki Hirabayashi. Nice to meet you. Please allow me to briefly explain in Japanese. This year marks the 35th since Ghosts ‘n Goblins first released, and we want to thank the fans for expressing your love for the series all these years. Over the last couple of years, we’ve noticed more and more titles featuring this classic style of platforming action. With Ghosts ‘n Goblins reaching 35 years, we thought it would be a great time to bring fans another installment in the iconic series. We were able to collaborate with Tokuro Fujiwara, the original series director and now CEO of Whoopee Camp, to deliver a new Ghosts ‘n Goblins experience for you.”

Fabiano: “Yea, definitely glad to have him back. It’s pretty exciting. For me, one of the things that makes Ghosts ‘n Goblins so unique is that it’s just really, really hard. But hard in a good way. You really enjoy playing it because you get that satisfaction as you are playing through it. So you do it again and again and again, and it’s just a lot of fun. So I think with the series, when you look back at it, it had a lot of those elements all throughout. We wanted to keep that for this one as well. If you look, we have a lot of homages to the originals.

“With Zone 1, you’ll see the stages are homages to both Ghosts ‘n Goblins as well as Ghouls ‘n Ghosts. You’ll see a lot of the changes that we made we kept true to the originals. For example, the forest, in the original. As you play through it, it felt like a forest. With this one, we wanted to bring it that one step further. Add that level of platforming and the interactions with the forest itself as well.

“In addition to that, you’ll notice changes to the bosses. We’ve got plenty that we up the ante on. You’ll see, for example, the Cyclops, the way he interacts with things, and the way he comes about as a boss fight is a lot different than what you remember. And there’s a lot of those really fun changes that we made. We hope you’ll enjoy the game and of course stay tuned for more. We’ll be doing more of these videos as time goes on, so stay tuned. Hirabayashi and I will be back, and thanks again for watching.”

Hirabayashi: “Thank you.”

Fabiano: “Take care.”
