Whether it’s movies, television shows, or music utilizing his Childish Gambino alias, Donald Glover looks to express his creativity wherever he sees fit. Glover ended his Twitter hiatus early Tuesday (May 11) to give his take on the state of cancel culture in relation to Hollywood and music.

“Saw people on here havin a discussion about how tired they were of reviewing boring stuff (tv & film),” he began. “we’re getting boring stuff and not even experimental mistakes(?) because people are afraid of getting cancelled.”

Donald Glover believes much of the content in entertainment has become stale, causing the industry to take a turn for the worse.

He continued, “So they feel like they can only experiment w/ aesthetic. (also because some of em know they’re not that good).”

With the COVID-19 pandemic grip on Hollywood beginning to loosen, the Grammy-winning creative is getting back to work. He let fans know that shooting for the long-awaited Season 3 of Atlanta is underway and even teased a premiere at the top of 2022, but has no idea when his final album is dropping.

According to TMZ, Donald Glover and even Young Thug were hit with a lawsuit over his Record of the Year-winning “This Is America.”

A rapper named Emelike Nwosuocha who rhymes under the alias of Kidd Wes sued Glover claiming he ripped off his 2016 track titled “Made In America.”
