#Justin Vernon Teases New Taylor Swift Collaboration: Watch

Yesterday, Justin Vernon took to Instagram Live to preview some new music for fans. During the listening session, he shared a brief snippet of a forthcoming collaboration with Taylor Swift, as Stereogum points out. Take a listen to that below.

As Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports, Vernon also played unreleased music that featured the voices of Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold and Anais Mitchell. It’s unclear if the song with Swift is for Bon Iver or Big Red Machine, Vernon’s project with the National’s Aaron Dessner, who produced Swift’s folklore and evermore albums.

In an interview with Billboard from September, Dessner was asked about the possibility of the pop singer cropping up on a future Big Red Machine project, to which he replied, “I can’t really say, so I guess I’ll say neither yes nor no.”

Swift was a guest on Colbert last night to promote the release of her newly recorded version of Fearless. Vernon collaborated with her on two songs released last year, “exile” and “evermore.”
