The legendary producer made a post honoring Chucc (real name Charles Hamilton) on Instagram on Friday (January 27), referring to the 1500 collective as his “little brothers.” Just himself was a part of the group, which included singers, songwriters, producers and musicians.

“The @1500ornothin collective have all been like my little brothers since they were actual children,” he began. “It been a honor to watch them grow in life and in their craft. Without them, some of my best work would not be what it is.”

He continued: “RIP @iamunclechucc. Youve been a part of some of my favorite and most defining moments during my journey and in the lives of millions of others. You are loved and will be missed.”
